| USA Cycling Cyclo-cross National Calendar Standings: Nov. 17 |
| The USGP of Cyclo-cross - Mercer Park I and II marked the 26th and 27th races on the USA Cycling Cyclo-cross National Calendar on Nov. 15 and 16. Tim Johnson earned the men's pro victory in the first of the pair of category-one races, while Todd Wells came out on top of Sunday's muddy affair. Teammates Georgia Gould and Katerina Nash went one-two in both of the pro women's events held in West Windsor, N.J. With 27 of the calendar's 40 races now complete Powers and Gould currently lead the standings. The Whitmore's Landscape Supercross I and II will go off in Southhampton, N.Y. while the category-two North Carolina Grand Prix I and II will take place in Hendersonville, N.C., Nov. 22-23. |

| Robinson named USOC male athlete of the month; Martin third |
| The United States Olympic Committee announced BMX cyclist Donny Robinson and ski jumper Lindsey Van as its October Athletes of the Month, while the U.S. Menandrsquo;s Speedskating Short Track Relay Team received Team of the Month honors. Another BMX cyclist, Arielle Martin, finished third in the women's voting after winning the overall 2008 UCI Supercross BMX World Cup title in October. |

| Fourth annual Local Association Summit aims to grow sport |
| Twenty-nine of USA Cycling's 34 Local Associations (LAandrsquo;s) attended the national governing bodyandrsquo;s fourth annual Local Association Summit. The three-day conference, designed to offer overall organizational updates, resource sharing and informative sessions, was also attended by USA Cyclingandrsquo;s Collegiate Conference Directors and the United States Cycling Federation Board of Directors. Amongst the weekendandrsquo;s activities, the 86 attendees participated in a number of breakout sessions and educational seminars while also reviewing current legislation. |

| USA Cycling Cyclo-Cross National Calendar Standings: Nov. 10 |
| Christopher Jones earned the pro men's victory while Rachel Lloyd took the women's pro win at the Dam 'Cross on Nov. 9 in Los Angeles. On the same day, Adam McGrath and Laura Van Gilder won the calendar's 25th event, the HPCX. After 25 contests on the USA Cycling Cyclo-cross National Calendar Jeremy Powers and Laura Van Gilder hold slim leads in the overall standings. |

| Two officials earn UCI International Commissaire distinction |
| USA Cycling would like to congratulate two of its licensed officials, Carla Geyer and Bruce Brasaemle, for fulfilling the requirements to become UCI International Commissaires in the disciplines of road and track cycling. After qualifying for an eight-day instructional course at the UCI's headquarters in Aigle, Switzerland by passing a written exam, Geyer and Brasaemle became the 13th and 14th Americans eligible to officiate internationally-sanctioned road and track races around the globe. The U.S. also boasts 17 mountain bike and six BMX international commissaires. |
